My mother, my mirror? Three generations encounter family therapy

چکیده

This article tells the story of encounters my mother, daughter and myself with family therapy during divorce. The narrative employs evocative autoethnography, a research method in which voice is viewed as continuance other voices emanating from culture. I am researcher informant both, thereby, own source. Events marital break-ups three generations are explored relation to therapeutic practice using an insider perspective. results indicate that shame has been prominent for all us. A common thread through our stories how can be seen ways we each experienced distribution power exercise therapy, appears strongly shaped by social discourses. autoethnography useful expand concept knowledge well produce detailed into life elevation intimate often suppressed larger meta-narratives.
